Peterson-Conservatory-Amal-Night-Visitors

19th: "Amahl and the Night Visitors" Opera by the Starry Night Orchestra and Soloists - Lincoln Theatre, Mount Vernon - 7pm - Gian-Carlo Menotti's one-act opera tells the story of a disabled shepherd boy-turned-beggar and his mother, who are visited by three strangers. They are the Three Kings, and they are on their way to Bethlehem to visit the Christ Child, who has just been born. The actions of the characters alternate between humor and pathos in the most engaging way, over gorgeous contemporary music, performed by the Starry Night Chamber Orchestra, which has been providing excellent classical music in the Skagit Valley and beyond for over 20 years. This is the perfect family outing to celebrate the holidays, with great singing and something for everyone!
