Cascade Mall, Burlington: Daily November 16th - December 24th - Santa will be available for photos and visits at his winter wonderland house, located in Center Court.  

S.P.O.T., Burlington: November 17th - Bring your pets and your family for pictures with Santa and to support the animals in S.P.O.T.'s care!

Pictures with Santa, Anna & Elsa, Sedro-Woolley: November 23rd - Community and client appreciation event. Come out for a free mini photo shoot with Santa or our own Elsa & Anna! Decorate some cookies, have a mug of cocoa and say hi!

Christianson's Nursery Arrival of Father Christmas, La Conner: November 30th - 10am-3pm - Father Christmas will be in his red sleigh nestled among the trees in the warm greenhouse beginning at 10am. He is excited to greet children of all ages and listen to their Christmas wishes. Come in your holiday finest and bring your cameras to take your own keepsake photos. Expect long lines. FREE

SUNDAY - December 1st

Breakfast with Santa, Anacortes - Enjoy a hot pancake & sausage breakfast with your family and friends. Santa will be on site for visits and photos. There is a cookie decorating station and some festive holiday entertainment for you to enjoy while you eat your breakfast. $6 per ticket. Pre-registration is required for this event and it will fill up quickly.

Skagit Valley Festival of Trees Family Day, Burlington - 10am-2pm - Family Festival Days include live musical entertainment, kids' activities, designer wreath sales and Christmas Tree raffle ticket sales. 

"Sound of Music" Sing-A-Long, Lincoln Theatre, Mount Vernon - 1pm-3pm - Calling all Nuns, Goat herders, Hills, Alps, Baronesses, Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String or any of your favorite things!! The Historic Lincoln Theatre and the Children's Museum of Skagit County present the Sound of Music Sing-along for their annual pre-Thanksgiving screening.

Thursday, December 5th - 6pm
Come out and enjoy this great community tradition kicking off the holiday season! The annual lighting of the downtown Burlington Christmas tree will be happening at 6pm. Cross the street to the Visitor Information Center afterward for hot cocoa, coffee, cookies and community caroling.

The Children’s Museum of Skagit County creates a winter wonderland every year at the Outlet Shoppes at Burlington on the first full weekend in December! Saturday, December 7th - 3pm-6pm
Family fun, train rides, pony rides face painting, and crafts with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sedro-Woolley begins at 3 pm and goes until 5pm. The tree lighting is at 5 pm sharp and is followed by the Whobulation of a spectacular lighted Christmas Parade. After the parade you are invited to bring the kids to see Santa at the Eagles. Watch for the Grinch!

Saturday, December 14th - 9am-8pm
Children can eat a breakfast of waffles, sausage links, and orange slices with their choice of milk or apple juice for FREE, provided by Beta Sigma Phi. After breakfast, children can see Santa and you are free to photograph your little one with Santa. The breakfast will be held from 9am-11am. The Holiday Home Tour will be open from 4pm-8pm and the Downtown Shopabout will also be going on.

Burlington Community Tree Lighting - 6pm-8pm - The Burlington Christmas Tree Lighting and arrival of Santa on a fire truck is a community tradition kicking off the holiday season. Visit with Santa and enjoy hot cocoa following the tree lighting at the Burlington Visitors Center.

Holiday Port @ the Port of Bellingham - Noon-8pm - This FREE event includes winter princess visits, kids art activities, face painting, horse-drawn and tractor wagon rides and visits with Santa.

Anacortes Community Tree Lighting - 6pm-7pm - Downtown Anacortes comes alive tonight with the festival spirit. The event features the town crier, Santa Claus and performances by students from Anacortes schools. Attendees can also get a free picture with Santa. The Holiday Art Walk will take place after the tree lighting ceremony.

Holiday Open House @ the Quilt Museum, La Conner - 11am-5pm - Free admission today! See the Mansion decked out for a Victorian Holiday, enjoy some cookies and hot cider, and do a Make & Take all-ages activity for $5.

Holiday Port @ the Port of Bellingham - 11am-5pm - This FREE event includes winter princess visits, kids art activities, face painting, horse-drawn and tractor wagon rides and visits with Santa.

Sedro-Whoolleyville Presents the Magic of Christmas - Ugly Sweater Dash, Tree Lighting, Parade & More! - 2pm-6pm - See details in the boxed event up above. The Ugly Sweater Dash begins at 2pm. Participants can put on their ugliest sweater or costume and dash through downtown Sedro-Woolley. Kids' activities begin at 3 pm and end at 5pm. The tree lighting is at 5 pm followed immediately by the lighted Christmas Parade.  Watch out! The Grinch came down last year from Mt Crumpit and was seen lurking all about town.

Lighted Boat Parade, La Conner - 6pm-7pm - Stunning, hand-decorated yachts and boats illuminate the Salish Sea waters of the Swinomish Channel for a waterborne parade that travels from the La Conner Marina along the La Conner Boardwalk and under the Rainbow Bridge to Shelter Bay.

Mount Vernon Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting - 5pm-7pm - This free event is fun for the whole family. The parade and tree lighting will create memories to last a lifetime. Come to historic downtown First Street for Mount Vernon’s annual Christmas Parade starting at 5 pm. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is in Pine Square and will follow shortly after the parade ends, around 6 pm.

Big Lake Christmas Parade & Food Drive - 7pm - The BLFD will leave Station #1 with their decorated trucks, go around the lake, down Lakeview Blvd, and up through the Nookachamps Hills. Please bring canned food roadside. The ambulance at the end of the parade will be picking this food up.

Join AAUW-Anacortes for the Jingle Bell Dash 5k Run/Walk and Kids Dash to Santa, and help raise money for AAUW STEM programs for girls in our community. This event is chip-timed and on a USATF certified course.

Lighted Boats, Anacortes Marina - 5pm-8pm - At dusk, bring your family to walk the C Dock, enjoy hot beverages and vote for your favorite decorated boat! Please bring an unwrapped gift for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots box or canned goods for the local food bank. The Decorated Boat Parade (weather permitting) is at 6 pm Saturday, Dec 14! Decorated boats will be on display every night on “C” dock.

Winter Wonderland Walk, Washington Park, Anacortes - 5pm-8pm - Come out to this community event at Washington Park and take a stroll through the woods to checkout holiday lights and decorations that are set up by local community groups. Listen to holiday music, enjoy hot chocolate and camp fires and get in the holiday spirit. Don't forget your flashlight!

 

SATURDAY - December 14th

Jingle Bell 5k/10k Run/Walk & Kids Dash to Santa, Anacortes - 8:30-Noon - Registration Opens 8:30 am. The Kids Dash to Santa is free. This run benefits the AAUW-Anacortes, which sponsors STEM programs for girls at Anacortes Middle School and Anacortes High School. Festive attire is encouraged and Jingle Bells will be provided as part of your registration package.

Breakfast with Santa, Sedro-Woolley - 9am-11am - Kids enjoy a FREE breakfast of pancakes, sausage links, fruit, and milk or juice! Parents by donation. Santa will be on hand to talk with each child please feel free to bring your own camera for pictures.

Build & Grow Workshop, Lowe's, Mount Vernon - 9am-Noon- Kids can build a holiday train.

Meet & Greet Queen Anna & Princess Elsa from "Frozen", La Conner - 2:30pm-4pm - Straight from Arendelle! Anna & Elsa will be visiting La Conner just in time for Christmas! They will be at the town Christmas Tree in Gilkey Square. Be prepared to stand in line - we will do our best to let everyone say hello. Costumes Encouraged!

Lighted Boats & Parade, Anacortes Marina - 5pm-8pm - At dusk, bring your family to walk the C Dock, enjoy hot beverages and vote for your favorite decorated boat! Please bring an unwrapped gift for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots box or canned goods for the local food bank. The Decorated Boat Parade (weather permitting) is at 6 pm Saturday, Dec 14! Decorated boats will be on display every night on “C” dock.

Winter Wonderland Walk, Washington Park, Anacortes - 5pm-8pm - Come out to this community event at Washington Park and take a stroll through the woods to checkout holiday lights and decorations that are set up by local community groups. Listen to holiday music, enjoy hot chocolate and camp fires and get in the holiday spirit. Don't forget your flashlight!

Holiday Movie "A Wonderful Life", Lincoln Theatre, Mount Vernon - 5:30-8pm - FREE Admission. Doors open at 5:30. 

 

SUNDAY - December 15th

Gingerbread House Party, Anacortes - 1pm-4pm - Decorate a homemade gingerbread house and enjoy free hot chocolate, cider, and popcorn.

The Peterson Conservatory presents Amahl and the Night Visitors, an opera in one act by Gian-Carlo Menotti featuring the Starry Night Chamber Orchestra and directed by Sharyn Peterson. 
The story: A young boy, who is lame at birth, and his widowed Mother are living in poverty in the Middle East. They are visited by the Magi on their journey to the newborn Christ Child. The humor, pathos, and beautiful musical score have enchanted millions of fans the world over since its first performance in 1951! This is a must-see holiday experience for all ages. BUY TICKETS

"Amahl and the Night Visitors" one-act opera presented by the Peterson Conservatory, Lincoln Theatre, Mount Vernon - 7:30pm - Amahl and the Night Visitors is an opera in one act by Gian Carlo Menotti with an original English libretto by the composer. It was commissioned by NBC and first performed by the NBC Opera Theatre on December 24, 1951, in New York City, where it was broadcast live on television as the debut production of the Hallmark Hall of Fame. It was the first opera specifically composed for television in America.

Horse Drawn Trolley Rides, Anacortes - Noon-4pm - In downtown Anacortes Lang's Horse & Pony Farm will be giving free trolley rides to anyone that shows up. Come take a ride with "Bill and Slim" the beautiful big black Percherons.

Noon Year's Eve, Burlington Library - 11-Noon - Can't make it to midnight? Come celebrate noon year's eve at Burlington Public Library! This free event is for families and children of all ages. They will provide crafts, snacks, games, and prizes all while counting down to our noon year balloon drop! This event is open to the public; a library card is not required to attend.

Polar Bear Plunge/Penguin Dip at Clear Lake Beach - 11am - has been the standard start time in the past. This event is no longer sponsored by the Skagit County Parks & Rec. Plunge at your own risk!
