: Daily through December 24th -
Santa will be available for photos and visits at his winter wonderland house, located in Center Court. You can bring your pets with you on December 4th & 11th from 6pm-8pm.

Santa's Workshop, Mount Vernon: November 24th & 25th/December 1st & 2nd - 10am-5pm - Often times kids are scared or intimidated when it comes to meeting Santa. Make their experience magical, when you stop by Santa's Workshop! A keepsake 5x7 photo as well as an emailed copy and Santa keepsake is $10. In addition to Santa being in his workshop, we will also have special Character guests who stop by!


Christianson's Nursery Arrival of Father Christmas, La Conner: November 24th - 10am-3pm - Father Christmas will be in his red sleigh nestled among the trees in the warm greenhouse beginning at 10am. He is excited to greet children of all ages and listen to their Christmas wishes. Come in your holiday finest and bring your cameras to take your own keepsake photos. FREE

Skagit Valley Gardens: November 25th & December 1st - 11am-3pm - Line may close early due to long wait time. Photos are FREE . Donations are gladly accepted to benefit The Friendship House of Mount Vernon.

Anacortes Flea Market - Thursday-Sunday at varying times. Click the link to see when their Santa with a nautical themed background will be available. Pets can come on Thursdays. Photos begin at $19.95.

Skagit Tradition Realty, Mount Vernon: December 1st - 11am-2pm - FREE pictures with Santa AND you can drop off your Toys for Tots donations.  Enjoy holiday treats and visit the craft table. Well mannered pets are welcome too!

20th: Thanksgiving Storytime @ the Children's Museum, Cascade Mall, Burlington - 11am - Gather at the Children's Museum for the book “Bears Says Thanks,” by Karma Wilson. When Bear decides to throw a feast, his friends show up with different platters of food to share. There’s just one problem, Bear’s cupboards are bare! What is he to do? Find out at storytime and draw a picture of what you are thankful for!

Pay What You Can Night - The Lights of Christmas, Stanwood - 5pm-10pm - Can’t afford the full price of admission? On Pay What You Can Night, do just that. On November 29, December 6, 27 and 28, festival admission is open for any price depending on what you feel you can afford. When you go to buy tickets, your bill will be tallied at the regular price; however, you pay only as much as you can. No minimum payment required. We don’t want anyone to be left out of a “holiday dream-come-true” this Christmas season.

In addition, reservations can be made for Overnight accommodations in holiday-themed lodges and for Dinner Theatre and Sunday Dessert Matinee.

November 30th, December 1st & 2nd: Skagit Valley Academy of Dance presents the "Nutcracker" Ballet - McIntyre Hall, Mount Vernon - Fri & Sat/7:30pm and Sun/2pm - The story of a girl, a dream, a prince, a king and a battle. 7th: Anacortes Chamber of Commerce's Christmas Tree Lighting - 6pm - This event marks the beginning of the holidays in Anacortes and features the Town Crier, Santa Claus and performances by the students from Anacortes schools. Enjoy hot cocoa, and cookies and don't forget to take a picture with Santa inside. The Holiday Art Walk will follow the tree lighting ceremony. FREE

7th: Snowflake Workshop, 5bs Bakery Concrete - 6pm - Design and cut snowflakes. All ages event. Most materials provided, but bring your own sharp scissors. FREE

8th: Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk for Arthritis with Dog Trot and Kids 1K Run, Bellingham - Registration opens at 7am - Be part of the largest holiday 5K race series aimed to fight arthritis! Chosen as one of the Most Incredible Themed Races, the 2018 Skagit Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is a fun and festive way to kick off your holidays by helping others! Wear a holiday themed costume, tie jingle bells to your shoelaces and raise funds to fight arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability. Run or walk a 5K route with your team members and celebrate the season by giving.

 

 

8th: Breakfast with Santa, Sedro-Woolley - 8:30am-11am - Children can come eat a breakfast of waffles, sausage links, and orange slices with their choice of milk or apple juice (parents by donation). After their breakfast, they can see Santa and you can take their picture with him. FREE  

8th: Lions Club Annual Christmas Parade, Anacortes - 11am - The route follows Commercial Avenue to Causland Memorial Park. Viewing is best from Commercial Avenue sidewalks. No parking on Commercial during the parade as candy will be distributed to children along the route. FREE  

8th & 9th: Anacortes Schools Foundation Family Holiday Fair - Noon-4pm - Family Holiday Fair Guests will be able to enjoy some special entertainment with the Fidalgo Elementary. Other activities include photos with Santa, kids games and some holiday treats. On Sunday the focus is on Gingerbread. Student and adult teams will again compete in decorating houses for prizes and bragging rights. In addition, children of all ages will be able to decorate their own “mini-house” to take home. FREE

8th: Lighted Boat Parade, La Conner - 6pm - The 2018 La Conner Lighted Boat Parade features stunning, hand-decorated yachts and boats illuminate the Salish Sea waters of the Swinomish Channel for a waterborne parade that travels from the La Conner Marina along the La Conner Boardwalk and under the Rainbow Bridge to Shelter Bay. If you're watching from town make sure to find Santa in Gilkey Square. He'll be available for pictures from 5pm-6pm. FREE

15th: Jingle Bell Dash 5K & 10K Run/Walk & Kids Dash to Santa, Anacortes - Registration Opens 8:30am. This run benefits the AAUW-Anacortes, which sponsors STEM programs for girls at Anacortes Middle School and Anacortes High School. Festive attire is encouraged and Jingle Bells will be provided as part of your registration package.

 

 

 

 

15th: Santa Breakfast, Fireweed Terrace Mount Vernon - 9am-1pm - Enjoy breakfast with Santa and have you photo taken. Decorate cookies and write a letter to Santa too. Cost: $10 kids/$12 adults

15th: Teens Make Edible Spruce Trees, Mount Vernon Library - 11am-4pm - Create an edible spruce tree using an ice cream cone, frosting, and a variety of toppings. FREE

15th: Anacortes Trolley Rides - Noon-4pm - Lang's Horse & Pony Farm will be giving FREE trolley rides with "Bill and Slim" the beautiful big black Percherons. Get a group of friends and enjoy the sights and sounds together, as the trolley can hold 18-24 people.

15th & then every night through December 23rd: Santa Train Rides @ Miniature World Family Fun Center, Blaine - 5pm-9pm - Just a short drive up to Birch Bay and you can experience the return of the famous Santa Train! As Christmas approaches, the Forest of Imagination changes into a magical wonderland full of over one million lights brightly twinkling in the night! At the end of the ride, Santa is waiting for the youngsters and the young at heart to get their pictures taken with him. Every train ride comes with a free hot chocolate. Buy your tickets online to avoid the line.

18th: Holiday Family Fun Night, La Conner Library - 5:30pm-6:30pm - Crafts, songs, stories and a visit from a special someone...

: "Amahl and the Night Visitors" Opera by the Starry Night Orchestra and Soloists - Lincoln Theatre, Mount Vernon - 7:30pm - Gian-Carlo Menotti's one-act opera tells the story of a disabled shepherd boy-turned-beggar and his mother, who are visited by three strangers. They are the Three Kings, and they are on their way to Bethlehem to visit the Christ Child, who has just been born. The actions of the characters alternate between humor and pathos in the most engaging way, over gorgeous contemporary music, performed by the Starry Night Chamber Orchestra, which has been providing excellent classical music in the Skagit Valley and beyond for over 20 years. This is the perfect family outing to celebrate the holidays, with great singing and something for everyone!

19th-23rd: The Lights of Christmas in Stanwood - 5-10pm - More than one million Christmas lights will be displayed during 21 nights in December, a spectacle spread over 15 acres at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, Washington.The Lights of Christmas is the largest holiday light display in the Pacific Northwest that combines live entertainment, children's activities, food, holiday shopping and more. In addition, reservations can be made for Overnight accommodations in holiday-themed lodges and for Dinner Theatre and Sunday Dessert Matinee.

19th: Parent's Night Out/Kid's Night In! Gnome Style!!, Mount Vernon - 5:30pm-9pm - Parents get to shop + kids get to have fun! Christmas P.J’s and silly hats welcome.  Kids will get to make a very special Christmas Gnome that you can take home or give as a gift, you can name your creation and keep it year after year to remind you of the time you met Mrs. Santa!! Additionally, kids will have lego time, make gnome snacks and watch a Gnomo + Juliet movie!

27th & 28th: Pay What You Can Night - The Lights of Christmas, Stanwood - 5pm-10pm - Can’t afford the full price of admission? On Pay What You Can Night, do just that. On November 30, December 7, 27 and 28, festival admission is open for any price depending on what you feel you can afford. When you go to buy tickets, your bill will be tallied at the regular price; however, you pay only as much as you can. No minimum payment required. We don’t want anyone to be left out of a “holiday dream-come-true” this Christmas season.
