The Anacortes Waterfront Alliance (AWA) is a non-profit organization that offers small boating for the Anacortes and surrounding community.

AWA began with a need for serving the small boating community and has grown into an inclusive and comprehensive program encompassing waterfront programs, enhanced water access and unified purpose in a quickly growing maritime community.

The AWA serves the public by acting as the umbrella organization under which lies a myriad of programs like the Anacortes Seahawks Sailing team, Youth and Adult sailing classes, small boat storage options and hourly rentals.

AWA is dedicated to waterfront access, preservation and experience

Access

Meaningful engagement with our waterfront is strongly dependent on our ability to access it. This is why the AWA has made it a priority to develop innovative storage and launching facilities for small boats.

Community

Community is the common thread within all of our plans and actions as an organization. We exist to not only serve the established body but to foster the development of new individuals and groups that share our affinity for being afloat.

Advocacy

We keep our finger on the pulse to ensure that community developments are made with the consideration of the small boating community. Partnering with stakeholders and openly communicating our members’ needs and concerns help unify our voice towards a clear and singular vision.
