6th & 7th: Skagit Valley Festival of Family Farms - 10am-4pm - Have a hands-on experience learning what it takes to run a farm from growing crops to feeding animals. It is an opportunity to talk to your farmers and follow your food from the fields to the table. Participating farms offer fun-filled festival activities for everyone! FREE

9th: Halloween Clay Class @ the Red Barn Art Studio, Bow - Tuesdays, October 9th-30th from 4pm-5:30pm - An entire clay class devoted to Halloween art! Pre-registration required.

12th: 30th Annual Skagit YMCA Halloween Carnival - 6:30pm-8pm - Stop by the Skagit Valley Family YMCA for an evening of Spooktacular fun! Play carnival games, win prizes, join the annual Cupcake Walk and get a festive Halloween picture at our Photo Booth. Join us in celebrating 30 years of Halloween fun at the Y this year with a pirate ship ride through the floating pumpkin patch & fish for treasure in the pool! If you would like to dress in a costume we would love to see it, but remember – only preschool friendly costumes will be allowed.

19th & 20th: Meet the Spirits that live in the Sedro-Woolley Museum - 2 shows @ 5pm & 7:30pm each night - Visit with the spirits that call the Sedro-Woolley Museum home with Chad Lindberg, actor and paranormal investigator.  He has for many years facilitated communication with the spirits and will be looking to find those that call the museum home. Reservations are required as space is limited to 25 people per show.

20th: Fall Festival @ Camp Korey, Mount Vernon - 11am-4pm - The community is invited to Camp Korey's Fall Festival that will combine the fun of fall with the fun of camp! Hayrides, Pumpkin Patch, Archery, Face Painting, Arts & Crafts etc. The Reptile Man will perform at 12pm and Jet City Improv will perform at 2pm. 26th & 27th: Frankenstein: A One Act Drama @ The ACT Theatre, Anacortes - 7pm - The Class ACT 6th & 7th grade class presents this original one act drama based on the novel by Mary Shelley. FREE

26th & 27th: Fort Casey Haunted Fort, Coupeville - 6:30pm-10pm - When the sun goes down, old Ft. Casey becomes a scary labyrinth of concrete caves. Already scary in the daytime, the rooms for storing munitions and fighters are windowless cells buried in the bluff. Halloween is the perfect time to tour the fort, and, who knows, you might just scare up a few scary ghouls along the way! For the smaller kids there is a children’s trick or treat lane, a bounce house, ghost stories, and games. There will also be food from Coupeville’s Sunshine Drip available on site.

27th: Bat Cave Hike, Anacortes - 10am-Noon - Our annual bat cave exploration is fun for everyone! Flashlights and costumes are encouraged. FREE

27th: Fall Extravaganza, United Methodist Church, Anacortes - 1pm-4pm - Costume contest, BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) to carve and some canned goods to donate to the food bank. There will be games, mini golf and ice cream. FREE

27th: Fall Festivities for Ages 12+ @ the Mount Vernon Library - 2pm-4pm - Come and enjoy some fall festivities at the library. Decorate a pumpkin, feast on a caramel apple buffet, and enjoy some Halloween movies.

27th: Pumpkin Carving Contest @ North Cove Coffee, Burlington - 3pm-5pm - This event is the Children's Museum of Skagit County's first BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) Carving Contest! You will need to bring a pumpkin, any decorating supplies and something to carve it with. FREE

27th: Harvest Fest & Halloween Dance, Marblemount - 5pm-10pm -  Wear a costume and come for the potluck dinner, live music, silent auction, raffles and prizes!

Downtown Mount Vernon Safe Trick-or-Treat & Costume Contest @ the Lincoln Theatre - 3:30pm-6:30pm - Skagit County residents are invited to trick-or-treat and at 5:30 pm, kids are also invited to join in the annual Costume Contest at the Lincoln Theatre. Prizes will be awarded in appropriate age categories. FREE

23rd: Skagit Valley Festival of Trees Polar Express Breakfast at the North Pole, Burlington - 9:30am-11:30am - A family-friendly breakfast, visit with Santa, photo booth, kids' activities, designer wreaths and tree raffle are the highlighted activities. Advanced ticket purchase required and tickets will sell out quickly.

23rd & 25th: Skagit Valley Festival of Trees Family Festival Days, Burlington - Friday/12:30pm-4:30pm & Sunday/10am-2pm - Kick off the holiday season by viewing exquisitely designed Christmas trees while enjoying musical entertainment by local talent and activities for the kids!
